Jubilee Fellowship Church – June 16-17
After taking a month off of formal church ministry we were invited to lead worship Father’s Day weekend at Jubilee Fellowship Church in Lone Tree, CO. Jubilee is pastored by John and Chris Leach. John and Chris were on staff with us a Rez for a few years before they left to plant Jubilee in 1998. Jubilee has grown into a very healthy, thriving church of over 2000 weekend attendees. This was a bit of an experimental weekend for us. I was very nervous as, after leaving Rez, we were not sure if the Lord wanted us to continue in full-time ministry or do something else for a while. God really showed us His goodness that weekend. John and Chris were very supportive and encouraging to Susanne and I. They validated the grace on our lives to lead worship. A bit of light began to shine on the path in front of us, causing us to believe that the full-time ministry thing might still be God’s desire for our lives.
Calvary Temple – June 30 – July 1
A couple of weeks later we led worship for Pastor Barry and Vicky Palser at Calvary Temple in Denver, Co. Pastor Barry and Vicky were also former staff members at Rez and began pasturing CT three years ago. Tim Storey was the guest minister that weekend, which turned out being a blast. Tim is a crazy guy for God! He has a very unique gift and God has really uses him to minister to the celebrity community in Hollywood. His teaching was amazing and had a powerful affect on both Susanne and I, thrusting us forward and upward into God’s future for our lives. It was fun to serve Tim as he ministered and neat to see how God’s Spirit was coming alive in the people at CT.
